God and family were most important to Roberta Lundquist of East Portland.
Roberta was born in Colville, Washington to Johnny and Maureen (Watson) Lundquist. She was raised with two siblings in SE Portland and graduated from Centennial High School in 1979. She enjoyed roller skating, swimming and close friends during her adolescent and young adult years. Her heart was her family. She raised four strong independent daughters and completely adored their spouses and grandchildren. She would often say God sent me the best son in laws. Roberta was a mother that was present and never missed an event, for her children and grandchildren. She would often reminisce and tell stories of her childhood and life with her siblings; these stories never seemed to get old.
Roberta enjoyed going to the movies, live concerts and going out to eat. She also enjoyed, gardening, crafts and playing card and board games with her grandchildren. If she wasn't working she was with her grandchildren. Faith and her church family were extremely important to her, as well. She was a member of Greater Grace Christian Church and would often volunteer and spend time with the community there.
Roberta passed away unexpectedly on March 04, 2017, at the age of 55. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maureen; brother, Eugene; and grandson, Matthew. She is survived by her daughters, Rachael, Kristina, Randi and Shelby; grandchildren, Emilie, Addison, Morgan, Melanie, McKenna, and Allison; and sister, Joanne. Roberta will be remembered for her infectious smile and loyalty to her family, friends and faith. She will be deeply missed. A celebration of life service will be held at Greater Grace Lutheran Church, March 18th at 2pm. Visit www.batemancarrollfunerals.com for additional information.
